MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p differential but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of little companies in Cornwall presently earn money from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of industry going it does need just a little bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax inescapable."
